This to me is a great move. I have been using an Ampd mobile phone on the verizon network for over a year now. It was a challenge to get it to work – but it works great. I look forward to the day when we can order any CDMA phone and use it on their network.
When I talk to other people about it – they just say that they like xyz carrier better, the problem is that Verizon works where I live and where I travel. AT&T, Tmobile, Sprint, et all do not.
I just hope that this helps to get some phones that run a better software package than the red VZW software.
